Chosen Solution
I recently replaced the battery in my clamshell G3 graphite. Once I start the iBook it recognizes the battery and the charging symbol appears for about a few minutes, but then it switches to “no battery there”. The guy from salcar.de where I bought the battery says there are NO problems with that battery type from other customers. Do I need to clean the contacts or is it an operating system problem, or do I need a new battery? Lars, from Fuhrberg, Germany
hallo lars, wann hast du den akku denn bekommen ??? wenn du ihn weniger als 2 wochen hast, schick ihn einfach zurück!! du hast in deutschlad ein 2 wöchiges rückgaberecht wenn du bei einem online shop etwas gekauft hattest. wenn du ihn schon länger haben solltest, versuche das ding zu tauschen (der händler ist zu einer 2 jährigen gewährleistung verpflichtet und du musst ihm in den ersten 6 wochen nichtmal etwas nachweisen - wenn der nicht geht, gib ihn zurück. sorry for all other users, i’ll try to explain it in englich too (but it will be boring ;-)) hi lars, when did you receive the battery? if it’s been less than 2 weeks - send it back! the german law says, that you can send the stuff, you ordered from an online shop, back within the first two weeks and get your money back. if the part is faulty, you can use the 2 year warranty - the vendor must replace or fix the part within the first 6 weeks without any doubt whose fault it is, after 6 weeks you must prove that it is a production problem wasn’t that boring?? ;-)
