The Macbook shut its self down a few seconds after the water (50% water 50%juice) spilled. I took out the logic board and all other components, and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Runs fine, thank God, but only runs on AC. Battery status was showing - Replace Now and a triangle sign. From what i gather, the circuitry on board the battery detects a fault and then shuts down to prevent further damage. So, ordered a new battery, and the system does not recognize it, even after SMC and PRAM resets, it just shows no battery installed in About This Mac->System Report->Power. I checked the new battery with a volt meter, and it had around 4 volts, so its not DOA. These symptoms seem like some failure on the logic board, but its strange that the old battery is recognized. Maybe someone out there has some experience and can provide some insight. I did not notice any corrosion anywhere when i did the cleaning. What would your next steps be in diagnosis of this case?
