Hi all, Posting because I have an issue with my new Macbook Pro battery (bought on iFixit). It looks like it is not charging or almost nothing. Basically when I install the new battery and connect my magsafe charger I can see that the led on the charger stays green most of the time like it does when the battery is fully charged. It turns orange sporadically but never for more than 2-3 sec. I have tried to reset the SMC but didn’t help here. I have downloaded the app CoconutBattery to have a better view of what is happening. So I see the battery is in good condition, the charger is detected well and appears as Connected but the issue seems to be that it charges really slowly around 0.7Watts compared to more than 10Watts when I do the same test with my old battery. Any idea what can explain this and how to fix ? Thank you
It could be a faulty battery (it happens) since the old one is charging fine. Get in touch with iFixit Support for a warranty replacement of your battery.
