Cannot remove battery due to both adhesive strips breaking. Tried warming with a hairdryer and using floss but unable to remove. After putting everything back together iPhone will not power back on with forced restart. Rechecked all connections and still wont power on. Should I just take it to an apple store and have them do it or do you have any other solutions?
To weaken the adhesive you need to use either 90-99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Make sure to not cut the volume button cable which is located at the top left area of the battery. The best tool to use to pry or separate the adhesive is flexible plastic cards / playing cards from the bottom left hand side of the battery.
