Chosen Solution
So, I’ve replaced my old battery as it was getting to 80% capacity. After calibrating the new battery for the 1st time, the capacity reached 75% and the charger then shut off and wouldn’t charge anymore. So I thought I’d try the calibration again and this time the charge reached 85% before the charger shut off. I’m gonna try another calibration now but who knows what will happen this time! Any ideas what could be happening? EDIT: images from coconut with and without charger. after the 3rd calibration attempt, the max is now 68%!
Update (05/29/2020) Cheers Dan. Ok will do. I’ve just completely depleted the battery so gonna charge it now until it stops charging and then i’ll upload the screenshots
At this point I’m suspecting the charger and/or the charging logic within your system is having issues. Are you using the original charger that came with your system new? If not where did you buy it? Let’s get a picture of the MagSafe connector just to be sure its really OK Post a it as well as one looking at the end of the cable so we can see the gold pins within it as well.
