Greetings to all Yesterday I received the battery change pack from ifixit for my MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Late 2012 : MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Late 2012-Early 2013) Battery I followed the following tutorial without any problem : MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Late 2012 Battery Replacement But the problem is this : Once the battery was installed, I turned on my Macbook. No problem, I had the battery display and its percentage, I use the coconut battery software. However, after thirty minutes, the macbook turned itself off for no reason. I tried to charge the macbook all night but nothing, it only lights on mains and the battery no longer appears in the menu bar. I took everything apart and reassembled it to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes but nothing. I took a picture. Do you think it’s a battery fault? If so, what should I do? Contact support? Repayment or replacement of the battery possible? Thank you in advance for your answers. Sincerely yours,
Update (07/09/2018) After contacting the support, I received a second battery. I just installed it and here is the result :
Now I will empty it completely, then load it 100% so that it is calibrated. Case to be continued!
Did you check the MagSafe charger’s LED is it Amber or Green? If Green the main logic boards charging logic has a problem.
