I don’t know how to identify if my classic is considered a “thick” or “thin” classic. I have the serial #, but I can’t find any forum which identifies my iPod Classic as a “thick” or “thin” in regards to replacement parts. Serial# 0292902WYMX
CJ, there is no distinction in model number between the thick and thin Classics. Check on here for some of the physical differences. Also, you may want to make sure that it will make the differences for the parts. Some of them are absolutely interchangeable
