Our guys keep breaking indestructible phones. ;) It’s upwards of $240 to get replaced at depot. Has anyone ever replaced the display glass on a Sonim XP7700? If so, where did you get the display glass from? The phone is IP67 rated, and I haven’t done a screen on a phone with that rating. Are there special procedures? Do I need a qualification to do it and retain the IP67 rating? It looks like it may be compatible with the Sonim XP7 as well. For the broken phone that I currently have, it looks like it’ll be cheaper to do an early renew and get a new one. If that’s the case, this one could be a tear-down for me to share with the class here.
Not sure why you are paying for warranty work when the Sonim XP7 comes with accidental coverage with it’s 3 year warranty that covers your device from issues like cracked/shattered screen. I would suggest you contact their customer support line. Hope this helps.
