I need the lower hinges (main carriage hinges) for my j6480. Where might I find a parts distributer who would carry such parts?
@smtlc650 , Steve I am not sure if it is the same problem as in 2nd link below, but there seems to be a lot of people with broken hinges on their printers. One person said he epoxied to small brass hinges on from hardware store to fix his, link #3 shows a fix for a broken printer hinge and door sensor. 1st link may have the part you need, i believe you can just scroll down looking at the right side for replacement part. You may even want to try contacting Hp support and MAYBE they can give you a lead on parts supplier. Good luck.
