Dale Torbett you are not telling us how dark it is. Is it black but you have audio and can see shapes/menu etc. when you shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen? That would be the backlight. Most likely the backlight strips but could also be the power board. Is it black and has audio but no picture visible with a flashlight beam? Could be the main board, the power board or (most likely) the T-con board. Is it black and has no audio and no picture visible with a flashlight beam? Most likely the power board or the panel. So as you can see it takes a bit more than just one sentence to determine what is needed. Give us more info
