I got a dell m4700 from a friend but it doesn’t work. He told me “I upgrade the ram and tried to change the thermal paste but I didn’t know how to do it so I didn’t and now it freezes on the dell logo” I replace the thermal paste and it still doesn’t work but I found board damage so I would like to see someone’s laptop to compare. Thanks
Roberto4273 it will work a lot better if you post images of your board with your QUESTION. Let us see what is missing/damaged etc. Edit your QUESTION and use this guide to add images Adding images to an existing question You also want to make sure that you give us any identification about your motherboard (not just the Make and model of your laptop but the actual board) just in case there are schematics for it etc. and from what I see it should be a Compal LA-7931P board Dell Precision M4700 LA 7931P Schematics Dell Precision M4700 Motherboard Replacement Update (09/18/2022) Looks like you lost at least PQ503 which is a SSM3K7002FU_SC70-3D Mosfet. I suggest remove the board check for further damage and replace the transistor. It looks ( a bit hard to see) like all the solder pads are still there.
