My watch charges fine but the shoulder buttons do not work and I am unable to switch it on. Where can I take it to be repaired?
Send that to someone who fixes watches. Maybe all it needs is to get cleaned. If the buttons are working then try reseting this way. Press and hold the Power key until REBOOTING displays at the bottom of the screen.Press the Power key repeatedly until the Select REBOOT MODE screen displays.Press the Power key to highlight ’ Recovery’.Press and hold the Home key to select.Keep holding the Power key until the Gear S3 begins rebooting.
This is a common issue when attempting to replace the battery. There is a small ribbon that controls the buttons on the side. The connection to the power button on the ribbon is damaged. It looks like a very difficult repair for the average person. I am currently checking out the cost of a new motherboard vs just just getting a different watch.
