My 55” Samsung QN55Q70TAFXZA keeps having issues with it turning off and on by itself and I’ve tried all the troubleshooting techniques that Samsung and the internet provide and nothing has worked. I took the back off and messed with the ribbon strip by removing it from the board and the tv stays on and responds to the remote but there isn’t any picture so I followed a YouTube tutorial that told me to place a small piece of electrical tape over the ribbon strip and the picture will either not show or will show with lines and continue to turn on and off. Any idea of what I should do next?
@drew1155 Is the TV actually turning completely off, or is it just the QLED screen that shuts off and back on?If the TV shuts off, I suspect the power is being “interrupted”. Have a read through this manual, there are some steps to diagnose the power in the Troubleshooting section (4-2-1). Note: That is not for your model exactly, but it’s for the 49-55" I can’t find the schematic for your exact model.I’d use a multimeter to check power lines and possibly check some components around the power source.
