My Speaker Won T Stay Charged And Sounds Muffled Jbl Charge 4

When I plug in my JBL Charge 4, it lights up and acts like it is charging. However, once I take it off the charger it dies immediately. The even bigger concern is that when I play music the speakers crackle and sound muffled.

I think the battery may have died, maybe the speaker relies on it so without it the speaker sounds worse as well? Sorry, I’m not a expert, but I thought I should say something, its either the battery, charging port, or board is the reason for the battery not charging.
