My OnePlus One is no longer recognizing my SIM card. I think it would help to replace the SIM slot. Does anyone know how to do that? I’m sure I could figure out how to replace it myself if I knew which SIM slot to buy or where to get it. Also, I saw that someone else busted his SIM slot and the response was instructions on how to insert a SIM card. I know how to insert a SIM card. I am looking to fix the SIM slot.
I have to do the same, anyone got into it? Is it possible to do it by ourselves or not? Thanks
Hello! I have the same problem. I decided to try to repair it myself, so I ordered this earlier, along with some phone repairing tools. When I receive the products I will probably look through the Oneplus One teardown by iFixit and just try my best not to mess it up. I’m very curious about how it’s going to work out.
Hi, how do both of you doing? Do you manage to replace the sim slot that you bought? I have same problem too, and now waiting for the replacement part i bought, to be ready to repair it myself too.

Make a box with hard plastic surrounding the sim card tightly use super glue moderately and today good to go use tweezers gloves cover gold plated sim & sim readers first get to work patience is a virtue here and a steady hand. Lol good luck let me know how you make out and another answer is to use a different one that you no longer access from another cell laying around or a buddies who has one laying around, EVERYONE HAS A FEW IF NOT AT LEAST ONE LAYING AROUND THAT IS BROKEN. i could just take the sim removal tool, which comes with the oneplus one and use that to pry the pins back up through the holes in the metal simcard cover without the cover needing to be removed. so for me the procces was easy to do, and the only thing i needed was a small philips head screwdriver. probably not relevant to the original poster of the topic, but maybe to someone experiencing the problem now, and to stumble across this post when searching what to do (like myself just 10 minutes ago) i hope this helps

If you’re going to replace the SIM slot properly, you’d need a hot air or infrared SMD rework station (probably costs more than a used working phone). Also prior experience of SMD rework is an advantage as it’s easy to irreversibly screw up. Best leave it to a professional repair shop.
