my camera’s screen is working but in negative effect. the viewfinder is working normally, any ideas??
Hi, It may be that there is a corrupted data setting in the camera. Perhaps performing a power refresh will resolve the problem. Unfortunately as there is also a non user removable back up battery in the camera it will involve more than just removing the main battery. Try the following: Remove the main battery. Switch on the power button, then press and hold the menu button for a while, at least a couple of minutes, then release. As the backup battery is designed to maintain some settings for at least a month, (with the main battery removed), hopefully it will be more quickly discharged using this method. The idea is to drain the backup battery so that there is no power, residual or otherwise, left in the camera and hopefully any corrupted data setting will restore back to the default condition. Be aware that all the settings in the camera will restore to their default values You will know when the back up battery has been discharged as there will be no date and time indication in the camera, when the main battery is reinstalled and the camera is switched on. If this works you will need to allow the backup battery at least 24 hours to fully recharge from the main battery. Update (01/28/2017) Hi If it is the screen, and since they are non reparable and have to be replaced, then here is a link to the Ifixit LCD repair guide for your camera. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX300 LCD Screen Replacement Here is a link to a supplier of the part. It is not a recommendation to use them. it is just shown to give an idea of the cost. There are others online that may suit you better. Just search for Sony DSC-HX300 LCD screen part or replacement part. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LCD-Display-…
is this only happening with the images taken, you could have a filter switched on or effect turned on, if this also happens for the ons screen menus then it is likely you have an accessibility option turned on for visually impaired people.
