Hello there. I have a concern with my tablet – its screen won’t work, but the tablet itself works, the alarm I have set for every morning triggers, but it’s just the screen that won’t work. Any ideas?
The display of my T580 stopped working from one day to the next. The device itself was still working though. I could access it via usb using adb. After opening the device I unplugged the black lcd ribbon cable stretched over the battery. After plugging it back again everything was working fine. This seems to be quite often the root cause. I suggest using the ifixit opening tools. Opening the case has to be done very carefully. Watch some youtube videos to learn how to do it.
It’s more then likely a problem with the digitizer, I had the same problem with an iPhone 6s, I ended up buying a new LCD and Digitizer for it, after replacing them they worked fine. if I where you I’d look into buying a digitizer (If they are for sale) and seeing if you can find a guide for it either on this website or somewhere else.
I have few motherboards without picture output. I learned that this Tab has image chip or something is bad… and usually screens are good unless cracked.
Hi, we had the same problem. I found several videos at youtube saying, it’s in most cases only the connector from motherboard to display (black flat ribbon cable crossing the battery). Just open the tablet as described here disconnect the battery. Then disconnect the black connector from motherboard to display (black flat ribbon cable crossing the battery). Plug in both cables again and in most cases it will work properly. Takes 30 min for a beginner.
