The tv was left on while we slept and this morning the standby blue light was flickering. I went to turn it on and it turns on and says checking connection but immediately turns back off. I’ve tried unplugging it and a different power core but it keeps doing the same thing. Even with it off the standby light will continue to flicker.
@kxcmnfab6 of course you did check that there are connections? Remove everything that is plugged into your TV. Unplug the TV. Hold the power button down for something like a minute or so. Then reconnect on video input source, preferably a local source like DVD/BR/Game Console. Then plug your TV in and try to start it. Let us know what the outcome is. Describe the way it turns off as well. Let us know what happens. Once it turns off shine a flashlight beam at an angle to determine if you can see some shapes, silhouettes etc. Just to rule out that it is the backlight that has failed. Should this not make a difference, you will have to remove the back cover from your TV and check the boards for obviously damaged components. Post some good pictures of the boards with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see. You may also need a multimeter to measure the output from the power board to the main board etc. Adding images to an existing question
