Hi. My Samsung Galaxy View won’t charge. I checked for dust and/or lint but there isn’t any. The A/C adapter, the end of it, is loose. It wiggles around a lot and I think that’s part of the reason why it won’t charge.
Also, the device is dead. May someone help me fix it without taking the device apart? Thanks in advance!
Its possible that the adapter is faulty and needs reacing
I also have the same issue with mine for about 2 months.
I notice that even though the “male” connector appears unbroken, bent or otherwise damaged, I do suspect the “barrel” power port in the body of the tablet may have cracked or become loose.
I have 2 power supplies (one for home, one for on-the-road), and both demonstrate the same failure.
IF I am careful, I can put the power jack into the connector, but play around with it until I see the power connected icon come on at the top right corner of the screen. (It may take a second, so be patient)
What I do is wrap the power cable under the base (as a weight) to keep tension on the power plug (when the charge light comes on) to keep the connection flowing. I am able to recharge the battery to 100% using this method, but it is a pain to fiddle-fart around with all the time. I’m talking only about a couple grams of tension, not, like, 10 lbs LOL.
Hence why I’m here - to find out how top open the back up and repair/replace the barrel jack (which I’m positive is the issue here - or possible a loose connection to the barrel jack).
So, who knows how to open this puppy up for “minor” repairs (but critical for my brain!).
