Hi, My GE side by side works for one and two days and stops, the lights stills on, but the compressor does not start, it spend some time trying to start but just don´t happen, and after one or two days off, it just turn on again. I have changed the thermostat and the main board is good too.
Hi @ricardomarinho , If the compressor is intermittently not starting, check if the start relay is OK. Remove it and check if it “rattles” if you gently shake it. If so replace it. Its’ location is part #733 - sealed system and motherboard parts If the compressor tries to start but then doesn’t continue running, then check the run capacitor - part #729 Be safety aware, remember to disconnect the power from the refrigerator before working on it.
