Once I plug in the power cord into the PS4’s socket. It immediately turns on without any input. But all it does is give me a solid blue light. No visual or audio. And no beep unless I disconnect and reconnect it immediately after, but nothing more. The fan doesn’t turn on either. I had taken it apart because after extended use, it would tell me that I had to turn it off due to getting too hot. So I took it apart with the help of some guide videos and cleaned it as best as I could. I also changed the thermal paste. I didnt even take it apart completely. Just the power supply, hard drive, silver panel that holds the motherboard, and the board itself. I made sure to plug everything back in properly and even after the first attempt. I took it apart 2 more times after reading some $@$* online. Nothing. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Have you checked the top panel cover? It sounds like something is shorting the power button in some sort of way as it should not switch on by itself after plugging in the power cable. Most likely the power button spring is bent to somewhere it shouldn’t be. I recommend posting a photo here before trying to bend it if it is. Adding images to an existing question
