Chosen Solution
I recently brought a pre owned copy of ghost recon wildlands. When I loaded the game for the first time after updating the game it said that the disc wouldn’t read and that it needed to be cleaned or replaced. I then asked my friend who also has a ps4 to check my disc and it ran perfectly fine on his ps4. I returned the disc and got a new one only to have the same problem on my console while working on my friends. It only happens for this game and every other disc game I have works fine. If you can help pls let me know. Cheers
Had this happen a couple of times for clients. Always ended up being the laser needing to be replaced due to wear. Some PS4 models you can replace the whole Blu-ray drive otherwise replace the laser caddy if a blu-ray drive board is present. PlayStation 4 Optical Drive Replacement
Well if its a used game have you inspected the disc for any marks or dirt. Could just need a cleaning. If the system reads all your other discs its most likly the disc not the
mines been doing this and i tan ghost recon breakpoint and uncharted just fine they all downloaded just fine and run fine so i will just download it digitally
