My Fat PAL PS3 no longer plays CD’s. It plays DVD and Blu-Ray but no CD’s. i want to fix this without accidentally losing PS2 backwards compatibility. Is there anybody who is able to help me out?
@jim_v sounds like a bad/dirty laser. Remember that there are different wavelength between the laser reading CD and DVD etc. Clean your laser assembly and re-evaluate. If that does not fix it, replace it. This should get you there PlayStation 3 BluRay Laser Replacement
