The power plug is right next to the air flow. The plug and the connection are heating up to dangerous levels. I have tried a new power supply as well as taken the battery out when fully charged. Since day one the laptop has had an outer fan running under the computer because family does game. I am to the point of not using it. Does anyone have any ideas of why this is happening?

The Laptop probably needs cleaning and the Thermal Paste for the CPU replaced. Google in Youtube for a video on the Model Number Plus Thermal Paste Replacement and also a video for cleaning the Ventilation. Follow all safety precautions, after that is done your system should run cooler and better. Do research about it before you start and make sure to use a antistatic wrist strap. There are cheap single use antistatic wrist straps. Good Luck!
